justify;\">Conscientes de los efectos socioecon\u00f3micos que el hecho migratorio implica para el Departamento del Valle del Cauca y la ciudad de Cartago, adem\u00e1s de la escasa informaci\u00f3n que existe sobre el tema y las elevadas cifras oficiales en t\u00e9rminos de migraci\u00f3n internacional, que ubican al Valle como uno de los departamentos con mayor porcentaje de hogares con experiencia migratoria (6,38%), y a Cartago como el segundo municipio del departamento con el mayor n\u00famero de hogares con miembros residiendo en el exterior (10,1%) DANE (2005), La Corporaci\u00f3n De Estudios Tecnol\u00f3gicos Del Norte Del Valle, presenta el Observatorio de las Migraciones del Norte del Valle, como un espacio para la indagaci\u00f3n, reflexi\u00f3n y an\u00e1lisis sobre la tem\u00e1tica migratoria, orientado a generar informaci\u00f3n y hacer seguimiento al proceso de la migraci\u00f3n internacional y remesas en Cartago y su zona de influencia, que sirva como l\u00ednea base para dise\u00f1ar estrategias de acci\u00f3n y pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas, que propendan por el crecimiento y desarrollo socioecon\u00f3mico de la ciudad, la regi\u00f3n, el pa\u00eds\u00a0 y el mundo.\n\nLa Corporaci\u00f3n creo el observatorio de las migraciones para el norte del Valle.
